Safer Sex & Sexual Health

Boynton Health

Boynton Health provides comfortable, culturally responsive healthcare for LGBTQ+ patients. Boynton offers contraception, pregnancy testing, HIV and STI testing and treatment, PrEP, and gender-affirming hormone provision. Learn more on Boynton's Safer Sex 101 webpage.

Boynton also distributes a variety of safer sex supplies—condoms, dental dams, and lubricants—at no out-of-pocket cost to students.

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood has information and videos on Safer Sex.

Bedsider has a friendly interface for looking at many different contraceptive methods and comparing them to one another. A great resource if you are just starting to explore contraceptive methods.

Although more youth-directed, Scarleteen is a good starting point that includes LGBTQIA specific concerns and uses inclusive language.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) & HIV

Advocates for Youth

Advocates for Youth created a factsheet about STDs & HIV.

If you need support or resources related to sexual assault, relationship violence, and/or harrassment/stalking, please contact or visit the Aurora Center for Advocacy & Education.
