Permanent Residence (Labor Certification) Application Fees

The following fees apply to the EB-2 Special Handling Labor Certification process:

ISSS Fee

ISSS charges an administrative fee payable by University EFS. The department must pay this fee and it cannot be recouped from the faculty member.

  • Effective July 1, 2023: $4,000

This charge is split between two points in the process. Approximately 1/3 ($1,335) is charged when the Prevailing Wage Request is submitted (part 1a of this process). The remaining 2/3 ($2,665) is charged when the Labor Certification is submitted to the Department of Labor (part 1b of this process).

USCIS Fees

USCIS fees are required at various stages of the permanent residency application process. All checks should be made payable to the Department of Homeland Security, written in full.

  • I-140: $715, effective April 1, 2024 (Must be paid by the department)
  • Premium Processing: $2,805 (Optional; may be paid by department or employee)
  • I-485: $1,440 for each applicant, effective April 1, 2024 (May be paid by department or employee)

For checks provided by the department, use EFS vendor code: 0000000054. You may select any address when requesting the check, but the check must be given to ISSS, not mailed directly to that address. Please request all fees as separate checks.
