Minnesota law requires all students to be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria.
Review the immunization requirements and complete the online or printable immunization record available on the Boynton Health website.
International students will not be required to complete this immunization requirement until they arrive on campus. To avoid having a registration hold added to your record, you must submit an immunization form by the sixth week of your first semester.
If you have already received your immunizations, you can complete the online form on the Boynton Health website. To complete the form, you will need to know the month and year when you received each immunization.
If you need one or more immunizations, you can choose whether to get your vaccinations in your home country or after you arrive at UMN. Boynton Health, the campus health clinic, offers required immunizations at no cost to those enrolled in the Student Health Benefit Plan (student health insurance). Getting vaccinated at Boynton Health is easy. Vaccinations are available at the Drop-in clinic or through appointments*. We recommend completing the vaccination requirement as soon as you arrive, but you have until the sixth week of class to do so.
*Note: The drop-in vaccination clinic is closed until August 31, 2026. If you would like to get your vaccination, please make an appointment by calling 612-325-3222 or via the Boynton portal.
COVID vaccination is not required by the University of Minnesota or for entry into the United States, but it is strongly recommended. Vaccines are available by appointment at Boynton Health. Learn more.
