You can travel as you wish within the United States, but you should bring certain documentation with you.
This is especially important if you are traveling near the border to Canada or Mexico.
In the local area, you should carry color photocopies of your current immigration documents (passport and I-20) at all times. If you travel outside the local area but within the U.S. you should carry the original version of your current immigration documents.
You should bring the following:
- Passport
- DS-2019
- I-94 card
- Proof of health insurance
- Documentary evidence of funding
