Preparing for the Faculty Search and Selection Process

This session is for administrators who work with the faculty recruitment and hiring process. When running a faculty search it is a good practice to prepare for the possibility that a foreign national applicant who requires visa support may be hired; having knowledge about this process in advance will lessen the burden and stress later on, if permanent residency support through the EB-2 special handling labor certification process is required. This workshop will talk through several resources and considerations that departments can use to prepare for the search and selection process to position themselves for the EB-2 process, should it become necessary for a newly hired faculty member.
Hosting a J-1 Scholar: The Basics
