Dr. Betsy Madden is the Senior International Counselor and Training Lead at the University of Minnesota. She advises F-1 and J-1 students and trains UMN staff who work with F-1 international students. Betsy started her career in international education as a high school English teacher in Japan. She has advised international students and scholars for more than 20 years. She was also a case manager for employment-based immigration cases at a Minneapolis law firm.
