Beth Isensee, M.A., is an Assistant Director at International Student and Scholar Services and has worked in the International Education field for over 20 years. Beth’s work focuses on valuing and integrating international students as a critical aspect to the University’s internationalizing the campus and curriculum effort. In her current role, Beth oversees the ISSS Intercultural Initiatives and Student Engagement team. This team supports faculty, staff, and students university-wide in intercultural competency development, student transitions to campus, and programs that engage students in leadership development within the campus community.
Before joining ISSS, Beth began her journey in international education as English as a Foreign Language Peace Corps volunteer in the Slovak Republic from 2000 – 2002. She completed her M.A. degree in Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology at the University of Minnesota.
She loves animals, science fiction, hiking and card games. She hopes to improve her badminton game and knitting skills!
