This 1-hour virtual training is designed to provide necessary information for student groups at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus to support new international students. The organization representative(s) attending this training need to be listed officer(s) registered through Student Unions and Activities. You are only required to attend one training session.
Student groups that complete this training will receive a certification from ISSS. These groups will be listed on our website and be promoted to our audience of international students and scholars.
This is a great opportunity for student groups who:
- are available in August to greet new international students
- have programming/events that include both international and U.S. students
- have a welcome event program for new students for the fall
- are interested in learning best practices in working with international students
