Mike is the Welcome Center Manager for International Student & Scholar Services. He manages the ins and outs of the Welcome Center, along with supervising the student employees. Originally from West Virginia, Mike received a B.A. in Psychology from Marshall University. He moved to Minneapolis in 2016 where he worked in property management. Having always been interested in Korean culture and language, he moved to Busan, South Korea in 2018 to became an English teacher in a public elementary school. After returning to Minneapolis in late 2021, he knew he wanted to work in international education. This led him to pursue a career with the University of Minnesota and ISSS.
