International Student Ambassadors

Share your advice and insight with prospective and new students about what life is like as a current University of Minnesota international student.

What is it like to be a student at the University of Minnesota? International Student Ambassadors share their own stories of transitioning, studying, living, and achieving as current UMN international students. Through their experiences, new students can start to imagine pursuing their own studies at our prestigious university.

As an International Student Ambassador, you will be asked to share your own experiences of transitioning, studying, living, and succeeding at the University! By volunteering with ISA, you will develop project management skills, as well as leadership and communication skills in an environment that values cross-cultural exchange.

ISA volunteers are expected to commit to 1-3 hours per week, and this includes attending team meetings (biweekly), creating social media content, and participating in team-building events. This is a non-paid position.
