About the Culture Corps Program
Information for staff and faculty

ISSS works with University staff and faculty to enhance teaching and learning by providing an international perspective. We will contact international students who have the cultural expertise to assist with your project, class discussion or other University educational and research based endeavors.

Culture Corps Program process

Some of the ways we have worked with staff and faculty to provide an international perspective:

  • Students from Yemen, Egypt and Bahrain participated in a Journalism class discussing the role of social media during the Arab Spring.
  • International students spoke about veterinary practices in their home countries.
  • Latin American students spoke about current economic conditions in South America.
  • International students provided cultural context in a World Literature class.
