Upgrade Is Complete; Expect Longer Processing Time
Thank you for your patience during the PeopleSoft Upgrade. The update was a success, and ISSS can now accept all requests. Please note, it will take up to two week to process I-20 and DS-2019 updates.
Extra Walk-In Hours Scheduled
ISSS is holding extra Walk-In Hours in the morning of April 20 and 21, so all non-sponsored students* and scholars can meet advisers without an appointment any time between 8:30-11:30 and 1:30-4:00 p.m. during these two days.
Please note, it will take up to two week to process I-20 and DS-2019 updates.
* Sponsored Student Walk-Ins will not have additional hours, so sponsored students should visit ISSS on Monday or Thursday afternoon.
Upgrade Occuring; ISSS Unable to Process Some Requests
Due to the PeopleSoft Upgrade, ISSS will not be able to process certain requests between April 6 and April 17. ISSS will remain open throughout that time, and students and scholars may meet with advisers by appointment or during the regularly scheduled Walk-In Hours listed below.
Following the Upgrade, ISSS will hold morning Walk-In sessions on Monday, April 20 and Tuesday, April 21 from 8:30-11:30 a.m., in addition to the regular afternoon Walk-Ins. ISSS will resume taking all requests on April 20, but the processing time for I-20s and DS-2019s will be two weeks.
PeopleSoft Upgrade to Occur in April; ISSS Will Be Unable to Process Some Requests
The PeopleSoft Upgrade occurring at the University of Minnesota will have a significant impact on the services ISSS can provide and the timeliness in which we can respond to requests during and after the Upgrade process.
During the weeks of April 6-17, we will not be able to update student or scholar records and send information to SEVIS, so there are a number of requests ISSS will not be able to fill during that time. Therefore, we strongly encourage all students, scholars, and departments to plan ahead and submit applications as soon as possible (see our hours here).
Please review the list below of services that will be affected by the Upgrade project. Due to the processing time it takes to complete records in SEVIS, the deadline to submit was applications Friday, April 3, unless otherwise noted.
ISSS will remain open throughout the Upgrade, and students and scholars may meet with advisers by appointment or during regularly scheduled Walk-In Hours throughout that time.
Following completion of the Upgrade, ISSS will be holding morning walk-in sessions on Monday, April 20 and Tuesday, April 21 from 8:30-11:30, in addition to the regular Walk-In times. To prepare for possible delays and issues that may come up, we are building in a longer processing time for I-20 and DS-2019 applications submitted the week of April 20. Note that from April 20 to April 24, our processing time will be two weeks.
