Information About Spring 2021 for International Students

Dear international students,

For information about the the UMN's plans, review the Safe Campus website.

We are pleased you are choosing to continue or start your studies at the University of Minnesota. The entire University community is dedicated to ensuring international students have the flexibility and options needed to pursue your studies, whether you are here in Minnesota or online from outside the United States. We are also carefully following actions on the federal level so we can provide updated guidance on visa-related questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ISSS staff is compiling answers to the questions we are receiving from international students and scholars. If you have a question that is not answered here, you can either contact ISSS (for visa-related matters) or your academic adviser/department (for academic-related items).

The following documents are divided based on where students will be studying this spring. Please review the document that is appropriate for your plans.
