H-1B Application Process

INSZoom FAQs and Troubleshooting

1: In the Employee Intake Information, the ‘Next’ button doesn’t work.

Click the left hand menu option directly to move to the next page (H-1B Intake Information, Note/Comments to ISSS, or Submit Info).

2: I am a faculty member trying to fill out the Employee Intake Information. Where do I put my information?

If you are going to fulfill the administrative duties for the H-1B process, put your information in the department information section. Otherwise, put the information of the Department Administrative Contact who will do the administrative work for you.

3: In the Starter Kit email, I can’t find the link under Option 1 or Option 2.

Option 1 and Option 2 should appear as shown below and the links should work without any problems. Please note that the URL and the Access Code differ case by case.

Example:

Option 1
Click on the link provided here -- questionnaire(s) & required document(s)

Option 2
Click on the link below and enter the access code to continue
URL: https://www.inszoom.com/docs/dcqtext.aspx?QOrgId=Oisss &q=Aisss0320064207562343&QQstInd=StKt

Access Code: Aisss0320064207562343

If you cannot find the links, check first if your email setting accepts HTML format messages. If the problem persists even under the HTML setting, send the Starter Kit email message back to the sender by clicking the Reply button. The sender will review the problem and let you know the possible solutions.

4: In the Starter Kit email, the link (either Option 1 or Option 2) is not operating for "questionnaire(s) & required document(s)."

First of all, check if your email setting accepts HTML format messages. If the problem persists even under the HTML setting, send the Starter Kit email message back to the sender by clicking the Reply button. The sender will review the problem and let you know the possible solutions.

5: In the Starter Kit email, the questionnaire link (either Option 1 or Option 2) works but gives me the following messages: “All updated questionnaires have already been emailed to the ISSS” or “The link has been expired.”

This problem has occurred because your link is broken into two parts as shown in the example below.

Example:

Option 1
Click on the link provided here -- questionnaire(s) & required document(s) https://www.inszoom.com/docs/dcskv.aspx?QOrgId=Oisss&q=Aisss03200632312
194170

In this case, please follow the steps below.

a. Copy the URL
( https://www.inszoom.com/docs/dcskv.aspx?QOrgId=Oisss&q=Aisss03200632312).
Open a new window and paste the URL in the address bar.

b. Copy the number (194170) and paste it right next to the URL. It should look like the following.
https://www.inszoom.com/docs/dcskv.aspx?QOrgId=Oisss&q=Aisss03200632312194170.

Note: There should be no gap between the URL and the number.

6: I started to fill out the questionnaire, but I can’t finish it today. I don’t want to lose any data I have already entered. What should I do?

The data you entered, even though it’s partial, are stored automatically in the INSZoom system. So, don’t worry about filling out the questionnaire all at once. You can leave and come back anytime before the access rights expire.

7:  I can’t complete the questionnaire before the access rights expire. What should I do?

We normally give 15 days to access the questionnaire. If the time frame is too short for you, please let us know. We’ll extend your access rights.

8: I‘d like to keep a copy of the completed questionnaire. How can I do it?

Click the ‘Print Preview’ button. Go to ‘File’ and click print.  Please make sure that you print out the questionnaire before hitting the submit button. Once you submit the questionnaire, your access rights will be lost.
