ALL new and returning International and U.S. students are invited to join us for an experience of a lifetime!
Trip Dates: August 18-22nd, 2011.
Wilderness Week is a program for all international and U.S. students who would like to experience camping, canoeing, campfires and hiking in the woods of Minnesota. You will make new friends, connect with UM staff, increase your confidence, and gain outdoor skills in a safe and fun environment! The connections you make with other students and university staff will promote your social and academic success during the school year. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
The trip is a great opportunity to meet students from all over the world and increase your cross-cultural understanding!
We will be traveling to Camp Menogyn in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Experienced guides from Camp Menogyn will lead you on the camping trip. ISSS staff members will accompany you and help you make the most of your experience, both while camping and after you return to campus. This is a great chance to prepare yourself physically, mentally and emotionally for the upcoming school year.
Try new things, explore new places and make new friends!
The cost is $395 which includes meals at camp, lodging, transportation, instruction and group equipment.
Make your summer complete by taking a memorable outdoor trip with ISSS!
